Welcome to Inwood Hair Studio. We are a private, appointment-only hair studio dedicated to providing a personalized and comfortable experience.
Please review the following policies before booking your appointment.
Appointments & Reservations
All services are available by appointment only. Walk-ins are not accepted.
A $50 deposit is required to secure an appointment. The deposit is applied toward the scheduled service when the appointment is completed.
Our studio is located in Inwood, Manhattan. The exact address and arrival instructions are provided after your appointment is confirmed.
Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
We kindly request at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or appointment changes.
One rescheduling request is permitted with at least 24 hours' notice, and your original deposit will transfer to the new appointment.
A second rescheduling request requires a new deposit.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice, missed appointments, or no-shows result in forfeiture of the applicable deposit. A new deposit is required to book another appointment.
Deposits forfeited under these policies are not applied as additional credits toward future services.
Late Arrivals
Please arrive on time for your appointment.
Arrivals more than 15 minutes late may result in a shortened service or the need to reschedule, depending on availability.
Hair Preparation
For curly, coily, or very dense hair, certain services may require the hair to be dry, detangled, and straightened before arrival to allow for an accurate assessment and precise service.
If additional preparation is necessary, a Pre-Service Hair Preparation Blow-Dry may be required at an additional charge, subject to availability.
Color Adjustments
Your satisfaction and the health of your hair are important to us.
If you have a concern about the color service performed, please contact Inwood Hair Studio within seven (7) days of your original appointment.
Adjustment requests are evaluated individually and may be offered as a courtesy when they relate directly to the original service.
Changes in color preference, additional highlights, new growth, or services outside the original appointment are not considered complimentary adjustments and may require an additional charge.
Any approved adjustment appointment is subject to availability.
Service Pricing
Service prices may vary depending on hair length, density, condition, previous color history, product usage, and the time required.
Additional services or charges will be discussed before proceeding.
Guests & Age Policy
To maintain a peaceful, private studio environment, please attend your appointment without additional guests or children who are not receiving services.
Hair services are available for clients aged 10 and older, unless otherwise approved by Inwood Hair Studio. Minors must have parent or guardian authorization.
Communications & Privacy
Appointment confirmations, reminders, and scheduling updates may be sent through our booking system using the contact information you provide.
Marketing communications are sent only where appropriate consent has been obtained. You may manage your communication preferences through the applicable service or by contacting us.
